Check out my latest review of Harry & David 2022 Chardonnay! I’ve reviewed this one in the past – so, it’s coming back around again. While I have read that review fairly recently, I’m writing this one completely from scratch! Although, if I remember correctly, this vintage (as well as this review) is very similar to the 2019.
Chardonnay Review Highlights

Chardonnay Review Details
Harry & David 2022 Chardonnay is rather light in the glass – it’s actually quite a pretty yellow. The nose presents very subtle citrus flavors, followed by more prevalent toasted oak flavors, including caramel and vanilla. To get the fruit, you really need to swirl this wine. Yes, I was swirling aggressively!
Taking the first sip provides the aforementioned flavors. The mouth feel of this wine is strong, covering the tongue and setting up for a strong finish. The soft acidity balances the wine well. The finish of lemon and caramel lingers, providing a few moments to savor the simpleness of this offering.
Overall, this is a decent Chardonnay, and this review will portray that. There’s nothing wildly special about it, but it’s solid. I look at it kind of like a club sandwich – I’ve never been blown away by a club sandwich, but I’ve also never been extremely disappointed either. A club sandwich is always a safe option to order, even at a bit of a sketchy restaurant. Similarly, I really don’t think anyone is going to be completely put off by this Chardonnay, but they will also not be running home to order a case.

The reason – to review them, including this Harry & David 2022 Chardonnay, so that everyone has a bit more insight into their wines. Harry & David, as you know, provides a wonderful offering of fruit and gift baskets. Some of them include wine, and I’ve always thought it would be beneficial for people to know what they were sending their bosses, business acquaintances, and other lucky people. Nobody is ever going to tell a gift sender that the gift they sent included an absolutely horrendous bottle of wine, so, this gives you a clue.

Food Pairings for the Harry & David 2022 Chardonnay?
As a rather light Chardonnay, I think you could pair this with anything you traditionally serve Chardonnay alongside. White fish, poultry dishes with cream sauce, or bright salads come to mind. Or, serve this as a palate cleanser when folks arrive to a dinner party, for those that don’t care for sparkling options. In any case, as I state earlier in this review, I don’t think anyone would be turned off by this Chardonnay.
